Covering up Tattoos

There may come a time that you want to cover your tattoo for a special occasion or need to due to work regulations for example. Here's some advice that should help you decide in how you will do this.

Step 1: Location

During the time before getting a tattoo proper consideration should be given to exactly where you want the tattoo on your body and how visible it will be wearing different types of clothing.
When the time comes to dress for a special occasion, have a photo shoot or attend an interview for a job will the tattoo be on display or easily covered by clothing?

Step 2: Make up

When concealing a tattoo with makeup, it's very important to get the right colour for your skin. You may be required to mix colours until you find the one that matches your skin tone. Remember that some make up will darken when it dries.
Apply several thin coats rather than thick ones, and let each coat dry completely before applying the next one. Then use a form of setting powder or spray to prevent the makeup from rubbing off onto your clothing.

Step3: Another Tattoo

If you are going to have a tattoo covered up by having another design over the top of it you will need to make sure that the new design is large enough to completely cover the old one. This may mean that the new tattoo will be quite large, about twice the size of the old one.
